Anne E. Duffus, DVM
Dr Anne Duffus has been working in the field of Veterinary Medicine since 1986 as a Veterinary Assistant/ Hospital Manager of The Cat Hospital of Denver in Denver, CO. Prior to that time Dr Duffus worked in the banking industry as a management consultant and Banking Officer. Dr Duffus believes in focusing on preventative health care for the well being of your pets. She is especially good at treating heart disease, renal disease, diabetes and other areas of internal medicine. She also has a great success rate at treating parvoviral enteritis. She practices with a non-fearful approach endeavoring to make all patients comfortable and happy while at our office.
In addition to practicing internal medicine, Dr Duffus is a very skilled soft tissue surgeon, ensuring that your pet has sufficient post operative pain control via cold laser treatment, oral and injectable medication .
She obtained her BA in 1977 from Gordon College and her DVM from The Ohio State College of Veterinary Medicine in 1993. She has a special interest in Toy Breeds of dogs and is owned by 4 Chihuahuas. Dr. Duffus is a 2nd Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do, an NRA Certified Pistol Instructor, avid NRA bullseye target shooter, a mandolin/mandola, fiddle and clawhammer banjo player. Her favorite styles of music are Irish/Scottish and Old Time.
Terrie
Terrie is the Receptionist and Office Manager here at Whitehall Animal Hospital. She and her husband Mike have a rescued Cairn Terrier “Roscoe” and a Norfolk Terrier named “Rusty”. She also actively participates with a national Cairn Terrier Rescue. Roscoe, Rusty and Terrie are currently taking agility classes. Terrie is an NRA certified handgun, shotgun, and rifle instructor. She teaches at the NWTF Women in the Outdoors events.
Chrissy, RVT
Chrissy is a Veterinary Technician with over 20 years of experience in small animal practice. She graduated from Columbus State Community College with a degree in Veterinary Technology. She has a special interest in canine and equine behavior and canine physical rehabilitation. She also enjoys horses as well and dogs and cats. In her spare time she enjoys doing agility and disc dog training and competitions with her dogs, horseback riding and helps with canine rescue and foster care with several local rescue groups. Her pack is made up of a Labrador Retriever, Boxer/Rottweiler mix, Beagle, three Pitbulls and a bobbed tail cat along with a couple of foster dogs. Chrissy and her husband have two adorable children that add daily to our entertainment and fun. She is a great asset to our team and a true animal lover!
Andrew, RVT
Andrew is a Veterinary Technician with 10 years of experience in small animal practice. He graduated from Columbus State Community College with a degree in Veterinary Technology.
He has a German Shepard/ Husky mix, Chihuahua/Whippet mix, and Calico cat. Andrew and his wife just welcomed their first child in June, a baby boy named Alosha.
In his spare time, Andrew enjoys watching football and movies as well as spending time with his family.
Debbie
Debbie is a Veterinary Assistant with 25 years experience in small animal practice. She is also a Canine Behavior Specialist with 40 years in Obedience, Agility and Behavior modification training. She is the founder/owner of Jack of Hearts Jack Russell Terrier Rescue and is the proud owner of two rescue miniature poodles and one Border Collie. Debbie’s passion is Canine Agility Competition. She competes with her poodles at the National Level. Her female Mach the Bug has been in the top five in the country in AKC Agility for 4 years in a row. In her spare time, Debbie enjoys spending time with family and friends, gardening and riding her bike with her dogs and her grandchildren.
